Summer Party Season- Loafers are a must

Dear All, I hope you had a pleasant weekend. Summer is pretty much in full swing which also means plenty more parties; including BBQs, a day at the races, Henley Regatta, Wimbledon and many more garden parties happening. Finding the correct outfit to wear at all these events is quite challenging but I think Loafers are always a winner. (Unless in enclosures with specific dress codes) I recently went to the Epsom Races (not in Royal enclosure) so could wear something ‘smart/casual’. I ended up wearing a Blue Suede loafer with navy chinos, blue shirt and a rather bright linen […]

A few Recent MTO examples

Dear All, Hope you had a great weekend! We are really enjoying seeing some of the creations our clients are making in their MTO purchases. Some rather bold (like above) and then some a bit more classic but all have their own unique characteristics. Since launching the MTO programme we have seen some really cool models come through which is what we like to see as it always keeps us on our toes to ensure we are designing new things here for our ready to wear stock. If you are thinking about MTO, I would suggest looking at our MTO […]

The Laurelhurst

Loafer season is so close I can taste it and I know that as I have subconsciously found myself wearing loafers a lot more these days, even though it is still chilly when the sun is not shining bright. It’s quite weird as I have always loved the A/W season and looked forward to it as I am quite a boot guy and love to layer my clothing (although I hate the freezing cold!). But never have I looked so forward to the Spring/Summer season. And while the Winter was not that cold here in London this past season, it […]

Don’t be Afraid of Contrast!

What I love about burgundy as a shoe for footwear is that amazing contrast that it provides for nearly every color of trouser. And is the right kind of contrast, not that overbearing one that makes your eyes cringe from the terror of something so astronomically unsubtle. Burgundy, even being a bright one, seems to really pair well with most colors and even when creating a strong contrast still looks good. This of course all in my humble opinion. And what I love is that most people seem to be thinking the same as I see more and more burgundy […]

Pitti Uomo Pays Off

When you go to Pitti and are standing in the main bit where everybody is congregating, all you see are all the famous internet “Style Icons” and a load of photographers. There are so many pictures being taken that you never know where one of them could end up. I always make a joke that for all I know, me or one of my friends could be on some massive billboard in central Tokyo. While that is nothing more than a joke, what is more realistic is what I came across today, in which a friend sent over a picture […]
