Black Loafers- Not Just For Formal

Coming into summer we will see plenty of loafers of all different shapes, colours and fabrics. I am an avid loafer wearer when it comes to summer attire and do believe that paired with complimenting socks they can really make an outfit come together. One thing that many of us are still under the illusion of is that black loafers are just for formal occasions, well, this is just a myth and a trend that has to be broken. Now that we are in 2016 its not required to a wear suit, shirt and tie everyday for work, instead many companies […]

The Shoreline – Something Different, Something Canvas

It was a stretch for me to release this model as I will admit that it is not your daily use type of shoe. It has its special place in one’s wardrobe. Therefore the guy that is buying it is most likely one that already has nearly all of his other bases covered or is just a massive fan of blue canvas. The reason that made me launch it (after having it in my sample collection for nearly 2 years now) was the fact that I put the green suede/black calf strap sample of it on the social media and […]

The Laurelhurst

Loafer season is so close I can taste it and I know that as I have subconsciously found myself wearing loafers a lot more these days, even though it is still chilly when the sun is not shining bright. It’s quite weird as I have always loved the A/W season and looked forward to it as I am quite a boot guy and love to layer my clothing (although I hate the freezing cold!). But never have I looked so forward to the Spring/Summer season. And while the Winter was not that cold here in London this past season, it […]

New String Loafer in the Works!

A Parisian customer of mine recently asked me if I would ever make a loafer just like the Baron de Rede one by George Cleverley. Normally I would answer straight away that I don’t like to make things too similar to something that is already in existence but considering nothing is really new (and the fact that I have always loved that loafer), I said, ‘what the heck, give it a go!’ And for the reason that theirs is £1200 and mine would only be £320, I can’t imagine that we are appealing to the same client. That being, I […]

Madison – Our Penny Loafer

I used to hate penny loafers, at least the ones that they were selling at Nordstrom, like the classic one by Cole Haan and those of Allen Edmonds. Now I love them. They are great for just about every occasion, with the exception of high formal attire. What I love most about them, is how good they look with jeans. As society progresses, I feel like it is more and more acceptable to wear jeans in the workplace (outside of the standard suit wearing industries like finance/accounting/lawyers etc), providing that one always looks smart. And when wearing a nice slim […]
