The Lynwood- Our New Hand-Sewn Derby

Dear All, We have long been thinking about hopping on board with a Ready to Wear Derby and the time has now come. We have introduced the Lynwood into this Spring/Summer collection in 6 colours to ensure there is a model for all occasions and outfits. Whilst we know the most famous model is a split-toe Derby, we wanted to keep the front clean and thus not have this feature. The new model also comes on our new last, the SEA last. Features of this last are that it has a more Symmetrical shape from the forefoot to the toe […]

Time to plan the NYE Party

Dear All, Hope you had a very Merry Christmas. It’s now that time in between Christmas and New Years where it is possible to either continue the festivities or relax for a few days before seeing the New Year come to it’s end- most likely with a party! There are lots of different options for a New Years party and no matter which you are attending, there is a shoe for every occasion! Black Tie- I would recommend wearing a highly shined black oxford. For a unique yet classy look the Aurora (above) would make a great choice for this […]

Re-Stock of some CORE Models

Dear All, After the successful Summer Sale we have been quite low on a majority of our CORE products but fear not! Along with all of our exciting new additions to the Autumn/Winter collection we have now received a Re-stock in some of our most popular CORE products. My Favourite model – the Montlake (pictured above) is back in action in all its glory! We also have the Magnolia in Dark Brown Museum Calf back in stock after a fantastic reaction to this new leather. The Wallingford in D.Brown Museum and Snuff suede has been a steady seller for us […]

Samples- where the inspiration starts

Dear All, Hope you are having a great week. Many of you may or may not know how long it takes to come up with the model that you see in each Ready to wear collection. It is a long process from an idea that Justin has sketched on a piece of paper to the finished article available to buy online or in store. When I worked on Savile Row and Jermyn St in previous jobs, being part of Management I got to see alot of how the design teams came up with garments ready for a collection which […]

The Apron Toe Derby

I sold my soul and hoped on board the bandwagon by making the infamous apron toe derby which is the new iGent shoe at the moment. Having replaced the double monk in certain crowds (dub monk has now gone fashion), the apron toe derby is all you see in the menswear world. I am unsure though of when I will actually release it as a RTW product as I need to decide which last to put it on first. I am quite torn between my new SEA Last as shown in the dark brown museum calf version or the very […]

The Art of Patina

Kevin Seah just recently celebrated his 6th Anniversary for his company being in business and for that he held a party and had some special pieces made to celebrate the occasion. Among those pieces were two pairs of my shoes (Fremont II model), one patina’d by Alexander of Dandy Shoe Care (above) and the other by John of Mason & Smith (below with bunnies on them). It is always nice to see what people can come up with and both of them did a brilliant job. Alexander’s was a patina like none other that I have ever seen, actually […]

J.FitzPatrick Summer Shoe Sale — Final Markdown

It is officially the second half of our Summer Sale and with that we decided to make a few adjustments, not only to the prices but with the addition of one product in particular: The Dandy Shoe Care x J.FitzPatrick Collaboration. That being, all sales shoes that were previously £175 are now down to £150 (ex VAT £125) and shoes that were previously £225 are now down to £175 (ex VAT £14.83). This a great time to acquire a J.FitzPatrick pair of shoes at an unbeatable price and thus great value for money. There are still a lot of […]
