The New Monk – Corliss III in Black

Dear All,

I trust you had a pleasant weekend.

With lots happening here at the JFitzPatrick HQ we have been delighted at the reaction so far to our new Autumn/Winter models.

One model in particular that stands out is the new colourway in the Corliss III- now available in Black. We launched the Corliss III in Burgundy earlier on in the year and it was a huge hit with everyone hence now a second colurway. The reason I am particularly excited about the Corliss in black is that I have re-connected with wearing Black shoes. I have 3 pairs of our collection in Black (Magnolia, Laurelhurst and now Corliss) and I was always finding myself choosing an alternative pair due to the fact I seldom wear suits at work unless we have meetings. When I recently got my pair of Corliss I was excited at just how many outfits I am able to pair with it. Firstly, we had an important client coming into the showroom one day and I wore a suit (pic below) and I felt like this new pair of shoes set my outfit apart as I usually (like alot of us men) wear plain blue suits. It had the right amount of formality without being too classic. Secondly I recently found my pair of black Levis jeans in my wardrobe which hadn’t been worn for some time and I decided to play around with ideas. I ended up wearing my black jeans with dark Grey socks, a white shirt and a nice dark charcoal crew neck jumper. The whole look really worked as a smart, yet casual attire and again the shoes were the stand out piece. I even had 2 compliments from random people that day, one on the tube and one in a queue for my lunch!

Bearing this in mind I feel that we have nailed it with this model for those of us looking for a shoe which isn’t just a standard Black cap toe Oxford, but a shoe which has multiple uses to compliment specific outfits.

I am now back into wearing Black shoes again which will please Justin as most of my shoes are various shades of Brown and the odd Navy or Burgundy.

Do share your ideas and pictures with us on our various Social Media channels and any comments or feedback you have on our new models is always appreciated.

Have a great week all.
