MTO- The best of both worlds

, Recently we have been getting more and more requests about our MTO service so I wanted to give you all a bit more info on this service as it’s the perfect way to have the best of our signature J.FitzPatrick footwear styles but your own individual style. Firstly, MTO means Made To Order, this is not Bespoke. From working in the suiting industry people often got confused between the two and our MTO service is based on our existing patterns/lasts but then you get to have some fun with the design, the lasts, soles and so on (see below). How it works: Any model that […]

Monkstraps- Single or Double?

So here at J.FitzPatrick we like to get feedback from you and recently a topic of conversation has been about Monkstraps. Now, personally I am a big fan of Double Monks as I have the Montlake in both Cedar Calf and the Snuff Suede model along with some others from different brands but since joining the J.FitzPatrick team I have seen more customers buying the Single Monk Fauntleroy (above) than the Montlake (below).   Why is that, that’s the question? I do understand and agree that if we were to make a black single and double monk the single would aesthetically appeal […]

Copper Museum – The Sebastien

Forget 50 shades of grey, there are more shades of brown than one can imagine, particularly in leather. Come to think about it, we already use about 6 shades of brown and that does not include tan shades. Imagine that! The new Museum Calf we are using is so unique in colour that it does really look like a patina shoe. There are so many different browns out there on the market it’s mind boggling, however we feel that we have hit the nail on the head with this new style. Not only does the brown have very rich and earthy […]

The Madison Loafer- for all occasions.

Hi All, Now I know that Summer is a bit hit and miss at the moment over in England but that doesn’t mean to not start wearing your loafers. The penny loafer is such an iconic shoe that I really feel needs to be worn by more of us, whether it be for work or for casual attire. This season we did 6 colour options in our Madison loafers, 3 Calfskin, 3 Suede. The suede options have been well received which is amazing because the rich tones of green, burgundy and navy really do compliment a spring/summers day outfit. One of […]

Summer is Here – Get Your Drivers Out!

Today is the first day of Summer, the Sun has been out and it is quite humid here in London. I am in a pair of leather sole suede shoes but I wouldn’t be disappointed to have some comfortable driving shoes on today to give my feet not only a bit of a breather, but also a bit of soft comfort. The hotter it gets, the more I lean towards that idea. That’s the thing about the heat, it begs for comfort, ease and simplicity. That is what driving loafers give you. And the great thing about them is that […]

Black Loafers- Not Just For Formal

Laurelhurst Black

Coming into summer we will see plenty of loafers of all different shapes, colours and fabrics. I am an avid loafer wearer when it comes to summer attire and do believe that paired with complimenting socks they can really make an outfit come together. One thing that many of us are still under the illusion of is that black loafers are just for formal occasions, well, this is just a myth and a trend that has to be broken. Now that we are in 2016 its not required to a wear suit, shirt and tie everyday for work, instead many companies […]

Summertime Blues – The Madison in Navy Suede

The versatility that a blue suede shoe possesses is often overlooked, particularly when it comes to peoples choices for their Spring/Summer attire. All too often is the brown suede shoe the color that people gravitate towards but if we think about the colors that we wear, I dare say that a blue suede shoe will compliment them all, even blue on blue is perfectly acceptable. But again, like in calf, it is one of those things that has been ingrained into our heads that blue suede is just too racy and daring. Thankfully this mentality is decaying as it is […]

Royal Ascot – Black Shoes 10% OFF!

Hi All! With just a week to go until the great race meet at Royal Ascot, have you got your outfit sorted yet? No, didn’t think so. Well fear not. There are many traditions in England that over the years have been relaxed in terms of formality but personally I am glad that Royal Ascot sticks to its heritage and custom with a dress code un-changed for many years now. It’s a few days of elegance, drama,  copious amounts of champagne and fun. The various enclosures all tend to have different dress codes for suiting, whether it be morning-wear and rules […]

The Tony II- A twist on a classic

A wholecut oxford is sometimes just too classic and predictable but not this one! The Tony II in Antique Brown and Black presents a nice and sleek alternative to the classic wholecut that, will leave many admiring your feet. The Tony II comes on the LPB last and I feel it gives a lovely silhouette to this model. The fun is in in the brogue design which is not something seen in all the classic shoe brands. Whilst this ins’t going tobreak records for innovation, the slight twist on the classic certainly gives the shoe a ‘J Fitzpatrick look’. […]
